The Palais des Festivals and MIPIM
Cannes' events run at the Palais des Festivals et des Congres, best known internationally for the Film Festival and, in the trade calendar, for MIPIM, MIPCOM and Cannes Lions. MIPIM, the international real estate market, returns 16-19 March 2027 at the Palais.
The Palais is a multi-level congress building rather than a conventional fairground, and its main exhibition hall carries an unusually low ceiling of 2.10 to 2.75 metres. That single figure governs almost every design decision here: double-deckers and tall structures are simply not possible, and a stand designed for a normal fairground will not fit. See our venue page for the full space breakdown and load-in notes.
Cannes events differ from conventional trade fairs in a way that changes the brief. At MIPIM in particular, exhibitors are cities, regions and developers presenting to investors, and stands function as hospitality and meeting environments rather than product displays. Expect to plan around private meeting space, catering provision and durable finish for a multi-day programme of scheduled conversations. Floor space in the Palais is also constrained compared with a purpose-built fairground, so efficient use of a compact footprint matters more than raw scale.
The local build trade
We list one stand builder headquartered in Cannes, AMEXPO SUD-EST. It does not yet carry our Verified badge, which means we have not completed a public-register check on it rather than that anything is known against it.
Given how specific the Cannes events are, ask any contractor directly whether they have built at the Palais before. The building's access and load-in conditions reward familiarity. We also list builders in Marseille, Lyon and Paris.
