Why the Lyon calendar needs checking by year
Lyon's fairs are held at Eurexpo, operated by GL Events, which describes the site as around 150,000 square metres across 7 halls and the largest exhibition park in France outside Paris. We do not yet hold Eurexpo or its fairs as listings in our directory, so this page describes the city rather than linking through to venue and fair pages.
The scheduling point matters more here than in most cities. Sirha, the hospitality and food service fair, and Pollutec, the environmental technology fair, are both biennial and run in odd years: Sirha returns 21-25 January 2027 and Pollutec in October 2027, both at Eurexpo. Global Industrie is annual but alternates venues, running at Eurexpo Lyon in odd years and at Paris Nord Villepinte in even ones, so its 2026 edition was a Paris show and it comes back to Lyon 15-18 March 2027.
The practical consequence is that 2027 is a heavy Lyon year and 2026 is a light one. If you are planning a Lyon stand, confirm both the date and the venue with the organiser before booking anything, because a fair you remember as a Lyon event may not be in Lyon this cycle.
The local build trade
We list 8 stand builders headquartered in Lyon, the largest concentration we hold in France: Expo Display Service Lyon, Expo Exhibition Stands Lyon, LyonExpo, MEILLEURSTAND Lyon, Mark Bric Display France, Standiste Lyon : ALPHAEXPO, VAC Expo and c design exhibition. None currently carries our Verified badge, which means we have not completed a public-register check on them rather than that anything is known against them.
A builder base this size next to a ground that is genuinely busy only every other year suggests these firms work well beyond Eurexpo, across the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region and into the wider French and Swiss circuit. Worth asking any Lyon contractor which other grounds they build at regularly, since that tells you whether they can follow your programme rather than only quote for the one show.
